Golf GripIn the interlocking grip, the little finger of the right hand and the index finger of the left hand interlock. Which of these grips works best for you is something you are going to have to determine. The feel of the grip, the strength and size of your hands; these are a couple of the factors that will help you determine which grip works best for you. Some golfers prefer to hold the club sith both hands fully on the club handle. The hands touch but your fingers do not overlap. This may be a little harder to keep full control of the club, but if you have tried the overlapping gold grips and are not comfortable with them, give this methoc a try. I actually prefer this grip myself. Let your left hand hang to your side and, without changing the natural position of the hand, put your hand on the club and have the back of the hand face the line of flight you are looking for. Close the fingers around the club with some firmness but do not apply heavy tension. You should be able to move the clubhead easily. Close your fingers and palm and take hold of the club. If you are using the overlapping grip, let the little finger of the right hand fall naturally over the index finger of the left hand. For the interlocking grip, raise the index finger of the left hand and interlock it with the little finger of the right hand. Keep the position of your hands exactly as they are when you do this. The face of the club should be square to the intended line of flight. Check the firmness of your grip and ease of motion by moving the clubhead a few inches back and forth along the ground. Again, the golf grip used by one golfer might be different from the golf grip used by another golfer. However, the back of the left hand and the palm of the right hand should always face the intended line of flight no matter what golf grip you adopt.
